Naturally you want to know your
dentist is well-trained and experienced. Dr. Hoop graduated
from dental school with high honors, ranking second in a class
of 87 dental students, from Emory University School of Dentistry
in
1986. While in dental school, Dr. Hoop received two scholarship
awards (based upon high academic performance), and other awards
for outstanding academic achievement and outstanding performance
in dental anatomy. He was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon
national dental honor society upon graduation. Following graduation,
Dr. Hoop continued at Emory University School of Postgraduate
Dentistry as a research fellow in periodontics and to complete
a residency in periodontics (1989).
Since receiving his specialty degree in periodontics, Dr.
Hoop has completed a twenty month course in dental implants
at the renowned Misch Implant Institute, extensive continuing
education courses from the world renowned L.D. Pankey Institute
and has taken numerous other continuing education courses
in periodontics, dental implants, cosmetic and restorative
dentistry, and in the treatment of T.M.J. disorders.
Dr. Hoop has been in private practice in the Fort Myers area
since 1991. Dr. Hoop and his wife Lisa have two children,
Jason and Lindsay. His personal interests include fishing,
gourmet cooking, woodworking and family activities.
